PROJECT COORDINATOR FOR THE ARTS

Does the visual of a project chart with things marked ‘completed’ excite you? Do you like the idea of organised, systematic, detailed working to create magic? Do you love engaging with the arts? Then this is a role you should seriously consider.
Junoon invites you to apply for the position of Project Coordinator for the Arts

Details on role of Project Coordinator

As project coordinator, you will develop a master implementation plan for each project you are given - anticipating the different parts of each project and how each of these will proceed. You will then be responsible for overseeing the implementation of this plan, which involves coordinating with the various people involved in the project. Your key responsibility will be to ensure that the project milestones are achieved, through communicating regularly with the entire team, and facilitating the necessary action. 
For each project that is under your care, you will be working closely with the project implementation team, relevant partners, directors, the production team, arts consultants, artists, venues and schools. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of the project and for ensuring a smooth and rich experience to all programme stakeholders.
Specific responsibilities will include (but are not restricted to):
  • Nurturing and sharing the Junoon spirit through all projects with all project participants
  • Following project workplans and processes closely and ensuring tasks are done as required in a timely way
  • Making sure all contracts/MOUs with stakeholders are in place in a timely manner
  • Drawing up project schedules in coordination with venues, consultants and artists
  • Ensuring project materials are created and available as required
  • Coordinating with production team for project implementation on ground
  • Managing project volunteers and interns
  • Archiving project materials and media (publicity, photographs, etc)
  • Maintaining updated database of stakeholders
  • Sharing project knowledge, information and resources across all project
  • Building relationships with all project stakeholders
Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years experience including project management
  • Self driven and persistent
  • Detail-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent ability to work in a team and to coordinate across different stakeholders outside the organization (many across the country)
  • Capacity for multi-tasking and tracking different independent workstreams simultaneously
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfort with excel, email, social media, etc.
  • An excitement to get things done end to end
  • Excited about being part of new ideas and to be part of the arts world
Position Location: Mumbai
Remuneration: Rs 4.2 to 6.0 lakhs annually depending on experience and skill.

Casting for Thespo 15: 
Vikrant Dhote is planning to direct a play written by Mark Ravenhill, that explores the ideas of queerness, identity and expression, to be auditioned for Thespo 15. Looking for male and female performers between the ages of 18 to 25.

A brief bio: Vikrant graduated from St. Xavier's College with a degree in English Literature in 2012. He played an active role in Ithaka, the Xavier's Theatre Festival, acting in plays like Look Back in Anger by John Osborne and The Hothouse by Harold Pinter. In 2011, he headed the festival, directed Americano by Arvind Sivakumaran and played the lead in Henry IV by Luigi Pirandello. He was Stage Manager and cast member of Equus, directed by Daniel D'souza, that played at Prithvi between 2010 and 2011 as part of Thespo At Prithvi.

This is a very special Casting Call for a new testimonial play by the internationally acclaimed Playwright and Director, Yael Farber. We are putting the call out for a female actress who is the survivor of sexual / gender / honour - based violence in her ADULT life. The play will be based on the true personal experiences of the performers as a means to breaking the cone of silence around sexual / gender based violence.

This performer is ideally-
1. Mid twenties to mid forties
2. Has adequate English (this is not essential and can be navigated)
3. Grew up in or spent a significant portion of her childhood in India

5. Is available from late May until the end of August 2013 and international touring dates thereafter.

Indigo Kids Edutainment, the premier children's theatre company, announces auditions for : "The Jungle Book," an english musical comedy to open in September 2012. IK is looking for qualified actors who understand physical theatre and are comfortable in comic roles. Loads of stage experience is not a must, but a great sense of humor and adventure are totally needed!
